BOSTON – November 1, 2023 – Today, Benchmark Strategies, a leading public affairs firm based in Boston, announced the promotion of Jessica Morris to Vice President of the Public Affairs division. In this role, Jessica will continue to leverage her expertise in intergovernmental relations and public policy for a wide range of clients, including climatetech, startups and nonprofit organizations.

Jessica Morris is an expert in clean energy, showcasing her expertise and leadership in the intersection of equitable climate policy and innovation. Jessica serves as an advisor for the Climate Beacon Conference, supporting policy and programming. Climate leaders joined the inaugural conference last month at the New England Aquarium to discuss solutions in accelerating Massachusetts’ transition to a clean energy economy.

In addition to her achievements within Benchmark Strategies, Jessica is also on the Board of Directors for MassEquality, a leading statewide advocacy organization for the LGBTQ community in Massachusetts. She serves as the Co-Chair of the Development committee and plays a pivotal role in organizing the annual Beacons of Light Gala. Before joining Benchmark Strategies, Jessica served as the Chief of Staff to former Boston City Council President Matt O’Malley. As Chief of Staff, Jessica managed a team of legislative staff and neighborhood liaisons, representing residents in five Boston neighborhoods. she was also the lead staff for the Council’s Committee on Environment, Resiliency, and Parks. Jessica is a proud graduate of Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA and currently resides in Dorchester.
