BOSTON – January 17, 2024 – Today, Benchmark Strategies, Boston’s leading public affairs and public relations firm, announced that Lauren Scribi has joined the practice as Vice President of Public Affairs.

Lauren will lead Benchmark’s focus areas related to the Massachusetts Legislature and the Executive Branch, bringing her policy expertise and years of experience working in the Massachusetts State House to the role.

Most recently, Lauren was Director of Government Partnerships at Bird. In this role, Lauren and her team were responsible for generating millions in revenue, managing over 100 city relationships, and developing legislative strategy.

Prior to her leadership at Bird, Lauren served as Director of Programs and Government Relations at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate in Dorchester where she worked with elected officials to build public programming around current events. She has also served as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators, a role she held for more than four years, in which she managed key strategy for several issue areas, such as the passage of the most comprehensive pay equity legislation in the country in 2016.
